Simple One Electric Scooter Launch: Images, Prices, Specifications, Features

Simple Energy, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle start-up, has introduced the Simple One electric scooter soon today. Pre-bookings will begin today from 5 pm onwards, for an amount of Rs. 1,947. The Simple One can be booked from the company's official website, and the pre-bookings are open pan-India, and the amount is refundable, the company said in an official announcement. When production of the Simple One begins, the pre-orders will be given priority delivery, the company added.

Simple Energy will get a portable battery pack weighing just over 6 kg, and can be removed from the electric scooter to be carried indoors for re-charging. The battery will be a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, which will provide a claimed range of 240 km in Eco mode, top speed of 100 kmph, and 0 to 50 kmph acceleration in 3.6 seconds. The Simple One will have a mid-drive electric motor, with a futuristic design. The Simple One will also have smart features like a touchscreen instrument console, onboard navigation, as well as Bluetooth connectivity.
The Simple One electric scooter will be priced at between Rs. 1,10,000 to Rs. 1,20,000, and will be launched in 13 states in India in the first phase. The company is also working on a 2,00,000 square feet factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Simple Energy intends to produce 1 million scooters annually in Phase 1 of its factory operations. We will of course, be riding the Simple One soon after its launch, and will give our first impressions of this new electric scooter, which will compete with the likes of the Ather 450X, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak electric scooters.
