Tesla Has Developed Overall Humanoid Software Architecture For Its Robot

- Teslas AI humanoid concept could be a real product by 2023
- Tesla has ramped up hiring for the project
- Musk believes it could help bring real AI to life
One of the interesting things that Tesla has announced in the recent past has been its Tesla Bot project which is being called the Optimus robot. It has a belief that its self-driving AI technology can be adapted to such a bot and now the company is touting that it has developed its own "overall humanoid software architecture". It is one of the most important projects Tesla is working on in 2022 as it has put plans on launching new vehicles on the back burner. It announced the bot program as a part of a recruitment drive but quickly the project has gained priority at the world's most valuable automaker.
Now, Optimus is being prioritised by the electric car maker. Elon Musk in fact has now said on Twitter that he wants to start production of the humanoid robot by 2023 which is much faster than anyone anticipated.

The bot has been designed to take over unsafe, boring or repetitive tasks from humans
Tesla has actively ramped up hiring for the project. One job description is called Motion Planning & Navigation, Tesla Bot.
"Tesla is on a path to build humanoid bi-pedal robots at scale to automate repetitive and boring tasks for manufacturing/logistics. Core to the Tesla Bot, the motion planning stack presents a unique opportunity to work on state-of-the-art algorithms for motion planning and navigation culminating in their deployment to real-world production applications. Our motion planning software engineers develop and own this stack from inception to deployment," says the job description.
Musk is a true believer in Tesla's role in making AI a reality. He also believes that the Tesla Bot could help solve the labour crisis the world is in right now.
