Formerly known as 'Endeavour' in India, the new Ford Everest has made its global debut with significant changes to the SUV.

Jeep's upcoming EV could be a compact-SUV with dimensions similar to that of the Compass. The electric SUV is expected to make its debut in early 2023.

Jeep will launch the Meridian, a mid-size, three-row SUV, that will be made in India, and the Grand Cherokee, which it will assemble in the country - a move the company expects will allow it to price its vehicles more competitively.

Jeep, which has less than a 1 per centshare of India's car market, said last year it would invest $250 million to launch four SUVs in a country where rivals Hyundai Motor and Kia Motor dominate the segment with more affordable vehicles.

The fifth-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV, which made it global debut in September 2021, will be launched in India, in the second half of this year.

Having been previously teased, Ford has announced that it will unveil the next-gen Ford Everest (Endeavour) on March 1.

The Kia Carens is expected to be launched at an attractive entry-level price of around Rs. 16 lakh, which will allow it to undercut the Hyundai Alcazar. However, the top-end trim could go as high as Rs. 22 lakh given the addition of a turbo-petrol engine and better safety features.
