The facelift of the Toyota Fortuner has arrived on our shores and it comes with fair few changes. Along with it, comes a sportier looking 'Legender' variant. So have these changes enhanced the appeal of this big brute of an SUV? Lets try and find out.
The first impression I want to put down for you is that the new Fortuner is indeed a better, more refined and better-finished car. And while it has taken its time to get to India, I am glad it is finally here and Toyota has launched the new Fortuner at Rs 25.92 lakh for the petrol and Rs 31.12 lakh for the diesel.

4X2 AT Diesel(Diesel)
The Toyota Fortuner remains a solid performer, striking a good balance between luxury and capability. Its muscular looks and bold design elements make it stand out, though some may feel its exterior styling has become a bit too familiar over time. Inside, the cabin offers a premium experience with comfortable seating and a decent infotainment system, though it lags behind rivals in terms of tech sophistication. The powerful 2.8-liter engine offers strong acceleration and handles rough terrain well, but the ride can feel firm and slightly bumpy, especially on uneven city roads. While the Fortuner’s robust build and high ground clearance are great for off-road adventures, maneuvering its large frame in tight city spaces can be challenging. Overall, it’s a reliable, go-anywhere SUV that excels in durability and ruggedness, but its luxury features may leave some wanting more given its price tag.

The automatic transmission is smooth but Expensive and Cramped third row
4.0
4X2 Legender(Diesel)
The Toyota Fortuner is known for its durability and off-road capability. Its high ground clearance and powerful engine make it ideal for tough terrains. The suspension absorbs bumps well, offering a comfortable ride. The automatic transmission is smooth, but the price is on the higher side compared to some competitors. Also, while there is ample boot space, the third row is a bit cramped for taller passengers.

Fortuner is a beast on the road

4X2 Legender(Diesel)
Fortuner is a beast on the road. Its ground clearance is perfect for Indian terrains, and the powerful engine gives a strong performance. I got the automatic version, which makes driving much more enjoyable. The space inside is great, and there's enough luggage room in the boot space for family trips. The safety experience is top-notch with multiple airbags and other safety features. Though the maintenance cost is slightly on the higher side, the overall package is worth it.

Great car with peace of mind. Yes not much electronic but key less. After sale services is always excellent with Toyota that is most important.
Driving with sufficient power with different mode which keep you on top always.
Enjoy your safe driving.
Available only with automatic since launch – in both 4x2 and 4x4 guises – the Legender gets a third variant with a six-speed manual transmission with slightly less torque than automatic.
