Upgraded to meet OBD2B emissions requirements, India’s best-selling 125 cc motorcycle now also brings a few more features, albeit at a higher price.

The new assembly line will focus on CKD assembly of engines ranging from 110 cc to 300 cc which will despatched to global markets.

The 2023 Shine 125 is launched at Rs. 79,800 for the drum variant, while the disc version is priced at Rs. 83,800

The bike will be the first motorcycle manufactured by Honda to feature a 100 cc engine

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced the Combined Braking System (CBS) on its popular selling CB Shine range. The safety feature will be mandatory on all 125 cc and below two-wheelers from April 1, 2019, onwards, and is now offered on the entry-level variants of the motorcycles. Both the Honda CB Shine and CB Shine SP get CBS on the drum brake variant, while the range-topping disc version continues to be on sale. The Honda CB Shine CBS Drum brake version is priced at Rs. 58,338. The Honda CB Shine SP Drum CBS, meanwhile, is priced at Rs. 64,098 (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi). Both versions are priced at a premium of Rs. 559 over the non-CBS variants.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has now introduced the 2017 CB Shine SP in the country with BS IV compliance, priced at Rs. 60,914 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Honda CB Shine SP comes with refreshed styling for the new year along with the auto headlamp on (AHO) feature.

Come April 2017 and all two-wheelers that will be sold in India have to be BS IV compliant and get the auto headlamp on (AHO) as a standard feature. Keeping that in mind, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the 2017 model of the CB Shine which conforms to BS IV emission norms and also gets the auto headlamp feature as well.

Launched in November 2015, the Honda CB Shine SP achieved the milestone within 9 months.

Honda CB Shine SP was launched in India today at a starting price of Rs. 59,900.
