Mahindra XUV700 is stylish and performs well. But, maintenance costs are higher than expected. XUV700’s ride quality is good. The cabin is quiet, but it could use more advanced features for the price.

The car looks like a very compelling package, specially with the decently loaded AX5 variants. At a distance, the alloy wheels looks like it is still with the camouflage stickers on. A rounded finish of the spokes that better integrates towards the end could have made this look even better. Ventilated seats and auto dimming IRVM are glaring omissions though.

Adaptive cruise control, Lane watch assist, and what not at this price is absolutely ridiculous. Safar, Alcazar, but also sedans like City and Verna and C-SUV/crossovers like Nexon, Venue, etc. and in some aspects to as expensive as the Fortuner and Endeavour. Is there any segment they aren't challenging? Mahindra have done well to understand what today's well-read, tech-savvy, aspirational customer wants.

The infotainment system seems fantastic, Overall the car seems like a very good package while being budget friendly. Missing out on features like auto dimming rear view mirror and ventilated seats is sad though. I feel sliding 2nd row would have been useful, both for ingress/egress and giving more leg room to 3rd row occupants. Having said all that, XUV7OO seems to have most of the items one will need.

Very spacious interiors with comfy seats and sorted ergonomics. Great for 6-footer passengers! My only complaint is, when car makers provide 7 airbags, why can't they provide 3 point seatbelt for rear middle passenger? Also they could have made the headlamp cluster simpler and it would have looked great. It might have enhanced the grill as well to an extent. Nonetheless, Interior looks fantastic and very airy.

Handsome styling matched to solid build quality. Has street presence, feels robust. Space could've been better for the 3rd row by providing a sliding function 2nd row seats. The touchscreen and instrument cluster look really high quality, not a big fan of the anti-clockwise tachometer, but that's how everyone is making them these days. However, I would say, interior team nailed it. Its league ahead of the earlier version IMO.

Have been using top variant of XUV700 for 1 year now. Very pleased with the performance and comfort. The servicing has been smooth as well. Apart from 1-2 glitches which I faced in early day the car has been a great car. Have already cross 14,000kms. My only concern is the mileage in between 7-10 km/l. Beware about this while making a decision on this one.
