Apple Hires Key Lamborghini Executive To Get Back Its EV Programme On Track

Apple has hired Luigi Taraborreli from Lamborghini who has worked at the Italian supercar maker for 21 years where he worked on the development of the chassis and vehicle dynamics. Taraborelli has worked on Lamborghini cars like the Urus SUV, Huracan Coupe, Performante, Aventador Coupe and others. He has also worked on projects like the Lamborghini Sterrato.

Taraborrelli's hiring comes after Apple has made a number of key hires, particularly from the Volkswagen group from brands like Porsche. Apple’s electric car project Project Titan has been floundering with many executives leaving.
Recently Apple even hired Desi Ujsahevic a long-time Ford executive who was its global director of safety engineering. Now, Apple’s self-driving electric car project is being managed by Kevin Lynch who is its Apple Watch software boss and John Giannandrea who is SVP for AI and machine learning.
