The Ather 450X is the electric scooter from Ather Energy, the Bengaluru-based EV start-up, and is one of the finest made-in-India electric scooters available on sale today. The Ather 450X is available in two variants, the 450X Plus and 450X Pro, with two different performance levels, available at different payment plans. The Ather 450X gets a host of connected features, with the latest over-the-air updates giving it Bluetooth connectivity, with music and calling functions via the touch sensitive instrument console. The screen offers everything from satellite navigation to incoming calls to nearest charging points. The Ather 450X has a top speed of 80 kmph, with claimed range at 85 km on a single charge.

1. Design

The Ather 450X has a futuristic design, with three colour options, including white, matte grey and gloss mint green. The electric scooter comes with full-LED lighting, a touchscreen instrument console, and a wide comfortable seat.
2. Performance

The Ather 450X stands out as a made in India quality product built for enthusiasts. Top speed is 85 kmph, and on the Warp mode, the Ather 450X offers quite brisk acceleration, and can take on any internal combustion engine on a 0 to 60 kmph acceleration. On the Ather 450X, 0 to 40 kmph is achieved in just 3.3 seconds, with range claimed at 85 km, and peak power of 6 kW (8 bhp) and torque of 26 Nm.
3. Features

Riders can now control calling and music functions via Bluetooth on the 450X electric scooter. Other features on the 7-inch full-colour instrument console include navigation powered by Google Maps, incoming call alerts, and even access to the charging network, showing nearest charging points.
4. Charging & Network

Ather Energy has started setting up charging infrastructure across all cities it currently operates in. The Ather Grid offers a network of charging stations across the cities Ather Energy has operations right now. The Ather Grid offers convenient charging apart from home charging points that the customer can set up for convenient overnight charging.
5. Price & Variants

The Ather 450X electric scooter is now priced at Rs.1,32,426 (Ex-showroom, Delhi), while the Ather 450 Plus is priced at Rs. 1,13,416 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The 450 Plus offers slightly lower performance than the 450 X, with 70 km range, and 5.4 kW (approximately 7.2 bhp) of power, and 22 Nm torque. The 450X offers 6 kW and 26 Nm of torque, and offers quicker charging as well.
