Bajaj Pulsar CS200 in the Offing?

In a bid to increase its market share in the India, Bajaj Auto plans to launch several new bikes within the current financial year. One of those bikes could be the Pulsar CS200, which was unveiled as a concept at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo and may be the 200cc version of the CS400. The reason we say this is because of the fact that in a recent interview to a magazine, Bajaj Auto Motorcycle division's President, Mr Eric Vas hinted at the possibility of bringing in more bikes in the company's 'cruiser sports' (CS) segment. Though Mr Vas didn't reveal the engine capacity and other details, the company can use its 199.5cc engine that powers multiple Bajaj motorcycles. Also, just like the company launched the 200cc version of the SS400 - the Pulsar RS200 - there is a high possibility of 200cc Cruiser Sports being launched before the 400cc version. Also, we think that in the company's current line-up of engines, the 199.5cc unit is the best-suited for the low capacity cruiser sports bike. Just so you know, this 199.5cc, 4-valve, triple spark, DTSi engine is capable of churning out a maximum power output of 24.16bhp and 18.6Nm.
