Highlights

Bugatti presented the 'MeoConstantini' edition of the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse at the Dubai Motorshow. The 'MeoConstantini' is the third model, of a six-part 'Les Legendes de Bugatti' (Bugatti Legends) series, which pays tribute to legendary people from Bugatti's history. The first two cars were, Jean-Pierre Wimile and the Jean Bugatti Legend editions. Jean-Pierre Wimile won the Le Mans for Bugatti two times and Jean Bugatti designed the famous Type 57SC Atlantic.

The 'MeoConstantini' Legend edition car is dedicated to of course MeoConstantini, who was the head of Bugatti's factory racing team. He also raced the Bugatti Type 35 and won the Targa Florio twice.

The 'MeoConstantini' edition is based on the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse and is powered by a 8.0-litre W16 engine which produces 1200bhp and 1500Nm of torque. It can boom from 0-100kmph in 2.6 seconds and will keep going till it reaches a top speed of 408.84kmph which makes it the fastest production roadster in the world.

The carbon-fibre body panels are painted in French Motor Racing Blue. The aluminium panels are left unpainted, but hand polished and coated with several layers of clear lacquer. A map of the legendary Targa Florio race route is painted on the underside of the rear wing.

Then there is MeoConstantini's signature which is laser engraved on the aluminium tank and oil caps. The map of the Targa Florio race route is also engraved in the area between the 2 seats and the signature embroidered into the seat headrests.

Indeed, Bugatti has put it up for sale and the 'MeoConstantini' Legend edition costs $2.8 million.
