CCM Spitfire Scrambler On The Cards

- CCM is a British Motorcycle Manufacturer
- The CCM Spitfire Scrambler will be unveiled later in 2017
- The CCM Spitfire Scrambler will be based on the CCM Spitfire
British motorcycle manufacturer CCM is said to be working on a scrambler model based on its CCM Spitfire. The CCM Spitfire was showcased in UK earlier in February, 2017 and the production run was limited only 150 units. In less than a week after its showcase, all the units were sold. A note here, all CCM Spitfire models were handmade. The company reports that it is still getting orders for the Spitfire. But, in a bid to maintain exclusivity, it has announced that instead of manufacturing more Spitfire models, it will work on a new Spitfire based scrambler motorcycle.
(CCM Spitfire Scrambler)The Spitfire Scrambler will get increased ground clearance, suspension with longer travel, a different sub-frame and hi-mounted exhaust as well. The company has also recruited two new engineers for working on the Spitfire Scrambler. The bike will not see the light of the day until late 2017 and one can be assured that the Spitfire Scrambler will also be a limited edition model as the Spitfire itself. Upon launch the Spitfire Scrambler will be going up against the likes of the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled.
(CCM Spitfire)The Spitfire Scrambler will make use of the same 600 cc single-cylinder engine which makes 55 bhp and 58 Nm of torque. The frame on the Spitfire is welded by hand, which in turn, is made from high tensile T45 British Steel. This is the same steel that was used to make the fuselage of the famous Supermarine Spitfire fighter planes, which saw action in World War II, hence, the name of the bikes as well. Other components of the CCM Spitfire include a single 320 mm Brembo disc up front and a 240 mm at the rear. The suspension up front is from WP and a monoshock at the rear, both of them are adjustable. The Spitfire features 19-inch spoke wheels with flat-track tyres wrapped around them.
We believe that the Spitfire Scrambler will also have similar components along with some changes, keeping the off-roading ability of the scrambler.
