CCM Spitfire Maverick Unveiled

- The Maveric is powered by a 600 cc single-cylinder engine
- 55 bhp, 48 Nm in a 150 kg kerb weight package sounds good
- CCM is a British motorcycle brand with its Spitfire range of scramblers
UK-based motorcycle brand CCM, or Clews Competition Motorcycles, has announced another model in its Spitfire range. The new CCM Spitfire Maverick is the same scrambler-style Spitfire, but with more off-road capability. The engine is the same 600 cc single-cylinder unit that's used in the other Spitfire models, and produces 55 bhp and 48 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, but the Maverick gets a new clutch for improved gearshifts. With a kerb weight of just 150 kg, the Maverick promises to be a lightweight and fun machine, and the output of the engine with that kind of mass should be perfect while tackling off-road duty.

The Maverick gets high, side-mounted scrambler-style twin exhausts and a custom tan leather seat
The Maverick gets new wire-spoke wheels by Haan, along with Mitas E7 plus dual sport tyres to underscore its off-road intentions. The high-level twin exhausts are finished in brushed stainless steel, and complete the scrambler look, while the steel trellis frame has a powder coat finish. Suspension duties are handled by upside down front forks, and a monoshock rear, while the seat looks like a custom unit, finished in tan leather.

Braking is from J Juan, and the long travel suspension also comes with aftermarket performance upgrades from Ohlins, as are the brakes, which can be swapped with Brembo front brakes. The CCM Spitfire Maverick is expected to be launched in the UK sometime around August 2021, with a price tag of GBP 9,995 (around Rs. 10.29 lakh), and will be available in a choice of two colours, black or green. CCM is based out of the UK, and there are no chances that these bikes will ever be brought to India.
