The Profit-After-Tax figures this quarter came to Rs. 859 crore

The second offering from e-Sprinto, the Amery, is set to cover 140 km on a single charge

Including the total cost of reimbursing customers who paid an additional amount for the charger of their e-scooter, Ather is set to shell out around Rs 140 crore.

This announcement comes after complaints about prominent electric two-wheeler (E2W) manufacturers selling chargers at extra cost prompted a response from the heavy industries ministry.

Both variants of the Vida V1 electric scooter have had their prices reduced by Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000.

EV manufacturers like Ola Electric, TVS Motor Company, Hero MotoCorp and Ather Energy have been asked to refund the cost of home chargers to customers, in order to continue getting benefits from FAME II subsidy scheme.

In response to the letter from the authorities, Hero Electric says the question of refunds ‘does not apply’; Okinawa denies receiving a notice.
