F1: Ferrari Boss Believes Lewis Hamilton Will Win 2021 Title

- Hamilton has been tipped to win 2021 title by the Ferrari boss
- Binotto believes Verstappen winning would break the monotony in F1
- Verstappen lost a massive 32 point lead over Hamilton in the championship
Ferrari's F1 boss Mattia Binotto has said that while he wants Max Verstappen to win the 2021 world championship, incumbent world champion Lewis Hamilton is likely to win the title for a record 8th time. It is an exciting challenge between two great drivers. I hope they fight until the end. If I had to bet, I would put my money on Lewis because I think Mercedes will win in the end. But I'm rooting for Max. It would be good for the sport to break the status quo," said the Ferrari team principal. Lewis Hamilton overturned a massive 32 point deficit to Verstappen in the last two races who is believed to have a superior car overall. For the majority of the turbo-hybrid era of F1, Hamilton and his Mercedes has had the best car on the grid which has been a pivotal factor in his record-breaking run.

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen has been in middle of a titanic battle for the 2021 F1 crown
But in 2021, Honda, Red Bull's partner delivered an engine that was on par with what Mercedes has delivered coupled with a car that's aerodynamically superior leveraging Adrian Newey's high rake philosophy that allowed Red Bull to win 4 championships on the trot at the turn of the last decade.
Verstappen has won more races than Hamilton but also retired twice and even in Hungary because of the first lap chaos, his car was crippled that just allowed him to fight for P8. Hamilton scored more points coming P2. This has resulted in Verstappen losing his lead of the world title and Red Bull falling behind Mercedes.
