Hero Splendor iSmart 110 Launch: Highlights

The 2016 Hero Splendor iSmart 110 carries a similar yet evolved design language, in addition to new colour schemes. Being the first indigenously produced Splendor, as mentioned earlier, Hero has equipped the bike with an all-new 110cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is capable of churning out 8.9bhp and develop a peak torque of 9Nm.

The motor will be paired to a 4-speed gearbox and will also get the now famous i3S technology that made its debut on the 100cc version of the Splendor iSmart and essentially is an auto start-stop function that shuts the engine when stopped and engaged in neutral, in a bid to save improve the fuel efficiency on the vehicle.

Being the second motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp to get i3S technology, the bike is expected to offer exceptional fuel efficiency as well. Reports claim that the new engine will deliver a fuel economy of 75-80 kmpl.
