Lucid Air Deliveries Start Today

- The Tesla rival starts deliveries this weekend
- It is also hosting an event for its first buyers
- The car has an insane range of 827 km on a single charge
Lucid Air which is the much-fancied Tesla rival is starting its deliveries in the US today. The car has already been rated with having the highest range of any EV by the EPA which is an impressive feat for a company releasing its first car leave alone the fact that it has beaten Tesla's latest car to that mark. The first cars to be delivered will be the "Dream Edition" of the EV.
Upon taking deliveries, the new owners of Lucid Air will be able to take part in the Lucid Rally. The event will guide owners on a route that has been purpose-built to showcase the car's ride handling capabilities, range, and performance.

The Lucid Air is a cutting edge premium luxury sedan
The Dream Edition promises 837 kilometers of range and has an astounding 1014 bhp which enables it to achieve a 0-95 km/h in just 2.42 seconds. It will also start deliveries of the cheaper Air Touring and Air Pure edition of the car in early 2022.
While the world is struggling with the global semiconductor shortage, Lucid alongside Rivian are the two major EV startups that have managed to live up to the expectations of deliveries albeit with minor delays.
Lucid Motors is extremely well capitalized as it has the backing of the Saudi Public Fund and its CEO is the former chief engineer of the Tesla Model S Peter Rawlinson. Lucid has also recently announced its ADAS stack that promises level 3 autonomy dubbed Dream Drive.
