Lexus ES 300h Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs. 55.27 Lakh
Toyota-owned luxury brand Lexus today finally entered India with the launch of the Lexus ES 300h hybrid sedan. Priced at Rs. 55.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the ES300h will represent the Lexus brand in the mid-sized luxury car space, which is currently dominated by the likes of Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A7, BMW 5 Series and the Volvo S90.

Lexus finally made its Indian debut today with the launch of the RX 450h, LX 450d, and ES 300h. After Lexus India's impending arrival was announced in February 2016, we caught the RX 450h and the RC F on camera here in October last year. The hybrid SUV was spotted out and about in India at least once more since then. While the RC F coupe did not add its name to the list of Lexus' cars in India today, Lexus surprised its Indian audience with the LS 500h sedan.

Honda WRV has been launched in India at Rs. 7.75 lakh. While the car was first revealed in Brazil at the Sao Paulo Auto Show, India is now the first country to receive it. It must be noted the carmaker opened order books for the WR-V earlier this month. Honda's all-new subcompact SUV, essentially crossover version of the Honda Jazz, shares the platform with the premium hatchback. And as noted in our Honda WR-V review, it also borrows a myriad of exterior and interior elements with the Jazz. Sporting an SUV-esque styling coupled with a crossover profile, the Honda WR-V faces competition from not just the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford Ecosport but also cars such as the Toyota Etios Cross, Fiat Avventura, and Hyundai i20 Active.

Renault India has added another variant to the Kwid line-up and it's called the Climber. The company had showcased the Kwid Climber at the 2016 Auto Expo and since then, according to the carmaker, it has received numerous queries with regards to this car and which is why it's launched this new edition. The Kwid Climber costs Rs. 4.30 lakh for the 5-speed manual variant while the AMT costs Rs. 4.60 lakh (both prices ex-showroom Delhi) and is basically the Kwid with a cosmetic update.
