Omega Seiki Join hands with Agri Junction For Future Development

- OSM to deploy 10,000 EVs FY 22-23 in Tier II and Tier III
- OSM will likely bring its electric tractors by 2023
- Will begin deliveries with cities of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra
Omega Seiki Private Limited along with Agri Junction announced to expand their business in Tire II and Tire III cities for their electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers. The initial plan is to deploy 10,000 EVs FY 22-23 in Tire II and Tire III cities of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra which according to reports have the largest share of EV sales in India. The company will continue to sell its existing cargo EV range; Rage+, Rage+ Rapid, Rage+ Rapid Pro, Rage+ Frost and Rage+ Swap and passenger EV range; Stream city, drones and tractors in rural markets. Omega Seiki Motors is likely to bring in their upcoming two-wheeler line-up starting Mopedo.
Mr. Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman, Omega Seiki Mobility said, “Omega Seiki Mobility is born electric OEM which aims to ‘empower electric mobility in India’ in its truest sense. Driven by the government’s fiscal and non-fiscal measures, smaller towns and rural India are joining the community of EV users. Electric vehicles, owing to their low operating and maintenance costs along with zero tail-pipe emissions, make an economically viable and environmentally friendly option for personal and commercial use for these cities.”
He further added“Our collaboration with Agri Junction is a major step in this direction. Omega Seiki Mobility and Agri Junction will together build infrastructure in the rural markets. Agri Junction has a vast experience of working in rural markets, we are working together to develop specialized electric vehicles using this knowledge. We will make sure to improve EV adoption in these markets.” Added Mr. Narang
What will Agri Junction do? Well, the agriculture company will give a backhand to Omega Seiki. The company has listed the EV product line of OSM on its website. The company will get benefits under the PM Mudra Yojna by partnering with associate dealers, expanding EV infrastructure and aware people living in Rural areas about EV mobility. Omega Seiki will provide their EVs, provide charging units under the company’s brand OSM E-link. OSM has set up an R&D team for further developing the Rural Market in India.

Both the brands believe, Rural India is a huge market for electric vehicles and one out of five customers of e-commerce platforms originate from Tier II and III cities. E.g. small loads, and 3-Wheeler goods vehicles are rapidly expanding for a convenient way of transportation. “In India, the last-mile logistics sector in the e-commerce industry is anticipated to increase by 9 times to USD 5.23 billion in 2025” Brands said.
