In October 2023, the auto sector’s total sales stood at 23,62,534 units, a year-on-year growth of 20 per cent compared to 19,68,938 units sold in October 2022.

Answering questions about the company's current backlog of orders, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India said that the company’s total number of pending orders is more than 3.2 lakh units.
Total passenger vehicle sales in August 2023 stood at 3,59,228 units, a growth of 9.4 per cent compared to 3,28,376 vehicles sold during the same period last year.
