Home-grown commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland has released the monthly sale number for October 2020, during which the company's total sales stood at 9,899 units.

India's diesel consumption in October rose 6.6% from a year earlier, the first such increase since COVID-19 restrictions were imposed in late March, preliminary data showed on Sunday, signalling a pick-up in industrial activity.

Royal Enfield's total sales in October 2020 saw a reduction of 7 per cent over October 2019. The company sold 66,891 units last month, which is 5,073 units less than October 2019.

Hero MotoCorp sold a total of 806,848 units in October 2020, recording the highest monthly sales this year with a growth of 35 per cent over the sales of October 2019.

Honda Cars India sold 10,836 units in the domestic market in October 2020 as compared to 10,010 units in same month last year, which a growth of 8.3 per cent.

Mahindra's overall auto sales for the month of October 2020 stood at 44,359 vehicles, compared to 51,896 in October 2019.

Toyota India despatched 12,373 vehicles registering a sales growth of 52 per cent in October 2020 as compared to 11,866 vehicles sold in the corresponding month last year.

However, exports took a massive hit compared to figures in the same period last year. They were down by 10.1 per cent.
