Honda introduced the all-new fifth-generation Honda City last month which will be sold alongside the existing fourth-generation City. The Honda WR-V too received a facelift in July and the company is expecting both models to gain momentum during the festive season.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India despatched a total of 321,583 units in July 2020 in comparison to 455,000 in July last year, which is a drop of 29.32 per cent.

TVS Motor Company sold 252,744 units in July 2020, compared to 279,465 units sold in July 2019, which is a drop of 9.56 per cent. The sales in July 2020 are a growth of 27 per cent compared to 198,387 units sold in May 2020.

Royal Enfield's month-on-month (MoM) sales saw an uptick of 5.6 per cent at 40,334 units as compared to 38,065 units sold in the last month.

Hero MotoCorp, the world's leading two-wheeler manufacturer has announced sales results for the month of July 2020. The manufacturer has sold 506,946 units of motorcycles and scooters last month in the domestic market. However, the company sold 478,666 motorcycles and 35,843 scooters in July 2020. With things moving towards normalcy, the company managed to register month-on-month sales growth for the third consecutive month since operations resumed. The two-wheeler manufacturer had sold 490058 units of motorcycles and 45752 units of the scooter in July 2019.

Mahindras Farm Equipment Sector (FES) also announced its tractor sales for July 2020 wherein the company recorded a growth of 27 per cent. The total tractor sales including domestic and exports stood at 25,402 units during July 2020, as against 19,992 units sold in the same month last year. Seeing a positive response from the domestic market, the company sold 24,463 units, witnessing a jump of 28 per cent. Last year, the company had sold 19,174 units in the same month.

Suzuki Motorcycle India sold a total of 31,421 units domestically in July 2020 along with exporting 2,991 units. Year-on-year, the domestic sales dropped 49.62 per cent with the company selling 62,366 units in India in July 2019.

In these challenging times, car manufacturers are certainly trying their best to get on track and with all the sales numbers coming out today, we see that there's a strong demand for cars and a big improvement over the past few months. Renault India too today announced that it has registered a growth of 75.5 per cent in the month of July this year. This growth is compared to July 2019.
