Hyundai Motor India has announced a growth of two per cent in domestic sales for the month of November 2019. The South Korean auto giant sold 44,600 units last month, as opposed to 43,709 during the same month last year. Meanwhile, exports for the previous month saw a sharp incline in volumes with the company shipping 15,900 units, a growth of 25.2 per cent as opposed to 12,702 units exported in November 2018. Hyundai's total sales (domestic + exports) stood at 60,500 units in November this year, growing by 7.2 per cent over 56,411 units sold during the same month last year.

Volkswagen India has announced that the company registered a growth of 17 per cent in domestic sales in November this year. The automaker's sales stood at 2937 units last month comprising all models, as opposed to 2501 units that were sold in November last year. The sales numbers are in the green for the German auto giant even as the auto sector continues to recover from what has been a dull year across different segments. That said, the volumes do witness a month-on-month drop since Volkswagen had registered a 19 per cent hike in sales figures in October this year back by the strong performance of the Polo and Vento models.

India's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki has announced a 3.2 per cent drop in domestic sales volumes for November 2019. The manufacturer sold 141,400 units last month, lower than the previous year's sales result of 146,018 units. The automaker has witnessed a drop in sales once again after reports looked positive in October this year, backed by the festive season. That said, the compact segment with popular-selling products like the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Dzire, Swift and the likes showed strong signs of recovery and managed to register a growth of 7.6 per cent with 78,013 units sold, as against 72,533 units sold in November 2018.

It's yet another month of growth for MG Motor India as the company retailed 3239 units of the Hector in November 2019. This figure is lower than what the company did in October 2019. MG Motor India sold 3500 units in October and that can be attributed to the festive season. The sales numbers have been growing ever since the Hector was launched in July 2019. The company sold 1500 units in the first month itself after which it breached the 2500 unit barrier in September and finally reached the 3500 unit mark in October. This is the second month that MG Motor India has managed to sell over 3000 units of the Hector in the country and that just shows how big the trend is for the SUV segment in the country.

Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car manufacturer, has announced crossing the 20 million sales milestone in India. With this, the Indo-Japanese carmaker has become the first and the only Indian car manufacturer to have achieved this landmark number yet. While it took the company a good 29 years to cross first 10 million sales milestone, the next 10 million cars were sold in a record time of just 8 years, crossing the 20 million mark in less than 37 years.

Volkswagen Group has announced its global delivery figures for the month of October 2019, which stood at 949,800 vehicles. With this, the company has registered a 12.2 per cent growth as compared to the 846,300 units delivered during the same month last year.

The Hero Splendor is the second on the list of highest-selling two-wheelers, followed by the Hero HF Deluxe, and the Bajaj Pulsar range of motorcycles.

Maruti Suzuki India has announced achieving a new sales milestone with the Baleno premium hatchback, by crossing the 6.5 lakh sales mark. First launched in October 2015, last month the Maruti Suzuki Baleno completed 4 years in the Indian market and breached the one lakh unit sales mark in its first year, the next one lakh units were sold in just 8 months, while another one lakh units were sold in about 5 months.
