In terms of year-to-date sales, HMSI registered a growth of 35 per cent selling 25,22,552 units in the April 2022 - September 2022 period.

Electric vehicle start-up Ola Electric reported sales of 9,634 units in the month of September, up from 3,421 units reported in August 2022.

While cumulative domestic sales were up exports in the month were down 33 per cent affecting the firm’s overall sales numbers.

According to retail sales data released by Vahan, HMSI sold 285,400 units last month, as against 251,939 units sold by Hero MotoCorp. The difference between both manufacturers stands at 33,461 units.

Suzuki Motorcycle India registered a year-on-year growth of 27.6 per cent with 86,750 units sold last month.
