Upcoming EV Bikes by Stella Automobili

Stella Automobili is a Kolkata-based automobile company, as part of the renowned Jaidka Group. The Group has been involved in automobile businesses for nearly 100 years. Since 2017, the Jaidka Group has been manufacturing electric three-wheelers. 2020 saw them launch Stella Automobili, a brand dedicated to manufacturing electric two-wheelers.
Jaidka currently has two manufacturing plants in the country – in Howrah (West Bengal), and Hosur (Tamil Nadu), with an annual production capacity of 20,000 vehicles. Currently, Stella Automobili has two electric bikes in its stable:
SA1000
The SA1000 is an entry-level electric scooter, powered by a 250-Watt motor. It comes with two battery options – lead-acid, and lithium-ion. The former takes about 6-7 hours to fully charge, while the latter takes about 3-4 hours.
On a single charge, the SA1000 delivers up to 60-70 kilometre range. It further comes with stylish headlights, drum brakes, alloy rims, doble shocker with dual tube technology, and an anti-theft alarm.
SA2000
An upgrade from the SA1000, the SA2000 shares the same motor as its sibling, with options of a lead-acid or lithium-ion battery. You also get front disc brakes, daytime running lights, a large storage compartment, USB charging, and a digital LED display.
There is no word yet (publicly) on any upcoming bike from Stella Automobili, as the focus seems to be on geographical expansion. Watch this space for more details as it unfolds.
