If you choose the right variant of the Thar and have realistic expectations, it does what it promises and nothing more.

The Volkswagen Taigun does not try to win by sheer specification. Instead, it is about the basics: steering feel, chassis balance and structural safety. The 1.5-litre DSG variant is suited for those who enjoy good mid-range performance and sharp gearshifts. The 1.0-litre versions are good enough for everyday commuting.
