Keeway Benda is expected to launch its motorcycles in the Indian market this year, which were showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. Among these motorcycles, Benda's cruiser, the Dark Flag, stands out for its V4 engine. What is even more surprising is that Benda has managed to keep the bike within a budget, with an expected cost of around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). The Dark Flag features a classic road cruiser appearance with a low-slung design.
The bike is expected to launch in August 2023 in the Indian market after its release in China, in June. The colour palette options for the bike have not been disclosed yet.Featuring a 496cc V4, four-stroke, 16-valve engine, the motorcycle is expected to deliver around 53.6 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 42 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. Additionally, it comes equipped with disc brakes on both wheels, ensuring efficient braking. An uncommon feature for motorcycles is the inclusion of air suspension, which is typically found in high-end vehicles.
With a weight of 231kg (dry) and a wheelbase of 1575mm, this motorcycle is well-suited for road usage. However, the air suspension, combined with upside-down forks at the front, enhances its adaptability to various road conditions. Moreover, the clearance can be adjusted from 120mm to 170mm. The bike incorporates features such as LED lighting and riding modes. However, it is equipped with a simple semi-digital monopod instrument console that complements the overall cruiser style of the motorcycle.
Although this bike does not have any direct rivals, the bike can rival the Benelli 502C and QJ motors SRC 500 in terms of its displacement.
