Mahindra XUV700

Introduction 

• First launched in August 2021, the Mahindra XUV700 plays a crucial role in Mahindra’s product portfolio. 
• It gets an extensive feature list, strong powertrain options, and a competitive pricing. 
• The SUV has already crossed the three-lakh sales mark in India, making it one of the brand’s most successful models in recent years.  
• It is available as a five- and seven-seater model, with these configurations offered across a range of variants. 
• This includes MX, AX3, AX5, AX5 Select, AX7, and the top-spec AX7L. 
• There are even special editions such as the Blaze Edition and Ebony Edition, the availability of which dealers can confirm. 

Exterior 

• The XUV700 is not really a big departure from the XUV500 in terms of design but is bigger. 
• It gets a modern design with all-LED lamps, new alloy wheels, even if the silhouette is identical. 
• The latest iteration is the Ebony Edition with a Stealth Black exterior replacing the Napoli black colour. 
• It also boasts a blacked-out grille, ORVMs, silver front and rear skid plates, and black 18-inch alloy wheels. 
• Mahindra is due to bring in an updated model, which is likely to feature cosmetic tweaks. 
• It will also get new tech upgrades to keep it fresh amidst the growing competition in the segment. 

Interior 

• Whether it’s the five- or seven-seater version, the XUV700 is packed with many features. 
• The biggest highlights are the screens including a dual 10.25-inch display setup for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. 
• Other USPs include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, and connected car tech. 
• The SUV even gets Level 2 ADAS with adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. 
• Moreover, the XUV700 holds a five-star Global NCAP rating for occupant safety. 
• The latest update to the XUV700 is the addition of rear seat-belt reminders as a standard feature. 
• As for the Ebony Edition, its cabin gets the most prominent change with black elements. 
• This is a big departure from the light grey-beige interior of the standard SUV even though the roof-liner is still light grey. 
• Prospective buyers can expect the seven-seater Ebony Edition to boast some exclusivity with a black dashboard, black leatherette seats with contrast stitching, and a dark chrome finish on the AC vents and steering wheel. 

Powertrain 

• The Mahindra XUV700 is available with two engine options. 
• This includes a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel unit. 
• Both engines are offered with six-speed manual and automatic transmissions. 
• Buyers also get optional all-wheel drive system in select variants.
