5000 Lamborghini Aventadors Produced in 55 Months

The company achieved this feat in just 55 months and the 5000th Aventador to roll out of the factory was a Roadster version painted in Rosso Bia destined for the Italian market. The Aventador comes at a pretty exorbitant sum as it is priced at Rs. 4.80 crore (ex-showroom Delhi) but it is also the craziest car in the company's line-up. Yes, there have been a bunch of ultra-exclusive models which came at prices which aren't worth mentioning and then there were also special editions but the Aventador still stakes the claim to be the meanest and fiercest Lamborghinis of all time.
Under the hood, the Aventador LP700-4 comes with a 6.5-litre V12 engine which churns out 690bhp and a similar amount of torque. The car can get from 0-100km/h in just 2.9 seconds and that's not just because of the power the engine generates but also because of the AWD system.
If you're expecting a rear-wheel drive version to hit the markets soon, well it won't happen. R&D director, Maurizio Reggiani, said the Aventador will remain strictly AWD because only an all-wheel drive system can cope with the V12 that powers the car. However, we expect a facelift of the car soon and the production of the car will be ramped up. By how much? We don't know that yet but considering the popularity of the car in global markets, it will be a significant amount.
