An Italian Hypercar More Powerful Than the Ferrari LaFerrari

- The Evantra Millecavalli packs in 1000 horsepower
- Only 25 units will be built
- The hypercar is more powerful than the Ferrari LaFerrari
Italian specialty marque Mazzanti Automobili has finally uncovered the final version of the extreme version of the Evantra and this one will make its public debut between June 8 and 12 at the 2016 Salone Auto Torino in Italy. The company calls it the most powerful street-legal hypercar ever built in Italy and that's quite an achievement to begin with considering it shares the same soil as Ferrari, Lamborghini and even Pagani. Considering it beats the La Ferrari when it comes to horsepower, the Evantra Millecavalli needs to be taken seriously because 'Millecavalli' in fact means thousand horses and that part makes us grin from ear to ear.
Now, the company had unveiled the Evantra to the world back in 2013, and since then has been working on a hardcore version of the car and this is what it looks like. Under the hood is a 7.2-litre, biturbo V8 engine which punches out 1000bhp, which is more than the LaFerrari (950bhp). There's a lot of torque on offer, all 1200Nm of it, which is why this hard core Millecavalli can do a sprint from 0-100km/h in just 2.8 seconds.
The Evantra Millecavalli also benefits from a 4.0-inch wider track, carbon-ceramic brakes from Brembo, lightweight wheels from OZ Racing, and Trofeo R tires from Pirelli which complements the power on offer. But yes, there needs to be a bit of aerodynamics to make it behave on the road and handle the 1000hp on offer, which is why we see the use of an innovative aero technology where heated air extracted from the engine bay is directed past the rear wing to boost downforce, similar to technology we've seen in Formula One.
The company has made no mention of the top speed, but it certainly must be more than the Evantra supercar (360 km/h) There's no word on the transmission on offer either and we hope to see most of these details revealed when it makes its debut in Torino. The Evantra Millecavalli will see a limited production of 25 hand built units but the price tag hasn't been disclosed yet.
