While we expected it to be launched at Auto Expo 2018, India Kawasaki Motor has silently introduced the Z900RS naked motorcycle. The bike is priced at Rs. 15.30 lakh (ex-showroom), which is much higher than expected and puts the bike quite literally in a league of its own. The new Z900RS borrows its underpinnings with the Z900, while the styling gets a retro touch taken from the bikes of the 1970s.

The Triumph Daytona is nearing the end of its current life-cycle and the British bike maker has shown no signs of introducing an upgrade. With the European markets not so keen on middleweight supersport motorcycles, the segment has seen a dip in offerings in recent times. For Daytona fans however, there still might be hope. Triumph has filed patents for the name 'Triumph Daytona' in America and Europe, hinting towards the all-new Daytona 765 in the making.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced prices for the 2018 CB 125 Shine SP commuter motorcycle. Prices for the 2018 Honda CB Shine SP start at Rs. 62,032 for the drum variant, while the disc version is priced at Rs. 64,518. Meanwhile, the 2018 CB Shine SP with CBS will cost you Rs. 66,508 (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).

As part of the company's plans to launch 100 new models in the next five years, Harley-Davidson has unveiled two new models in the Sportster range. Both the Harley-Davidson Iron 1200 and Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight Special are powered by the Evolution 1200 engine.

Harley-Davidson has been quite actively building towards an electric future and even showcased the Project LiveWire concept in 2014 as a preview for what's to come. Moving in the same direction, Harley-Davidson has filed a trademark application to use the name "H-D Revelation" for its upcoming electric motorcycle technology.

Suzuki Motorcycles has filed patents for an AMT gearbox for the new Hayabusa, which could be launched in 2019. The patents were filed in Germany, Japan and USA. Suzuki could also look at fitting the new Hayabusa with turbochargers and a bigger 1,440 cc engine.
