Milan-based start-up, Italian Volt has introduced its first electric motorcycle - the Lacama. Italian Volt was set up by three partners, out of which two - Nicola Colombo and Valerio Fumagalli - hold a Guinness Record for the longest distance travelled on an electric motorcycle. In 2013, the duo travelled 12,379 km from Shanghai, China to Milan in 44 days, purely on electric power.

Suzuki Motorcycle India officially introduced the 2017 Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF motorcycles with prices starting at Rs. 87,117 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The bikes were unveiled at the Gixxer Day in Mumbai, which not only saw the complete Suzuki line-up on display but also a gathering of Gixxer owners and a special performance from two-time European stunt champion Aras Gibieza. That said, Suzuki has already announced the prices of the bikes a few days ago and took the opportunity of today's event for the public debut of the BS-IV Suzuki Gixxer line-up.

Honda has set a new record with its CRF1000L Africa Twin for riding a twin-cylinder motorcycle at the highest altitude, reaching as high as 5,965 m, before a 2 m wall of snow halted progress for Chilean enduro champion Fabio Mossini. After five days of acclimatisation, the team started at sea level and completed its ascent across mud, sand, gravel and ice in less than 24 hours, and in temperatures as low as minus 5 degrees Celsius.

The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer is all set to introduce an all-new Suzuki GSX-R750, possibly as a late 2018 or 2019 model, according to reports. It's not clear yet whether Suzuki will be launching the GSX-R750 in India, mostly because the Indian superbike crowd leans heavily towards the litre-class models, more than the middleweights.
