American motorcycle brand Cleveland Cyclewerks, which showcased its range of products at the Auto Expo 2018, will now officially launch the company's two motorcycle models in October 2018. Cleveland Cyclewerks was expected to launch its motorcycles by June 2018, but now the company has confirmed on Twitter that the launch has been delayed till October 2018. At the Auto Expo 2018, the company, with headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, displayed two range of motorcycles under the Ace and Misfit series. The Ace has more variants in a Scambler, Deluxe and Cafe Racer, while the Misfit is designed like a retro-styled cruiser.

The motorcycles are powered by a Honda-derived, 229 cc single-cylinder engine which is manufactured in China and tuned to produce 15.2 bhp of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and 16 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. In India, the American brand has joined hands with Hyderabad-based Laish-Madison Motor Werks for distribution in India. At the Auto Expo 2018, CCW officials had said that the motorcycles will be assembled at the company's Pune facility, after being brought in as completely knocked down (CKD) kits into India. Once launched, the bikes are expected to cost between Rs. 2-2.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

The CCW Misfit also shares the same 229 cc, single-cylinder engine
The single-cylinder engine is manufactured by China's Lifan Group, using an engine design from Honda's CG series. The company was founded by Scott Colosimo, Jarrod Streng and Curtis Ray in 2009. Currently, Cleveland Cyclewerks is focussed on strengthening its dealership network, as well as sales and service capability, in time for the brand's launch later this year in India.
