Ford Aspire Facelift India Launch Live Updates: Specifications, Features, Images

The Ford Aspire facelift is all set to be launched in India today, bringing the first major update to the subcompact sedan since its launch. The Ford Aspire facelift gets both cosmetic and component upgrades, while a new engine will also make its debut under the hood of the model. Ford has revealed the images of the facelift giving us a glimpse of what the new car looks like, while complete details will be available later today at the launch.

Updates on the Ford Aspire facelift include a new grille, revised bumper and new fog lamps at the front, while the only the alloy wheels have changed at the side. The rear gets subtle changes too with the revised boot-lid and bumper. The overall dimensions remain the same on the Aspire facelift, while the big change is the addition of new features to the cabin.

The interiors of the new Aspire facelift sport the same beige and black theme but the dashboard has been reworked to accommodate the larger touchscreen infotainment unit. This system offers SYNC3, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and is shared with other models in the company's stable.

While we've already caught a glimpse of the updated Ford Aspire via official images, the automaker is yet to reveal the engine line-up. The 1.2-litre Dragon series petrol motor is likely to debut on the Aspire facelift with 95 bhp, while the 1.5-litre diesel with 99 bhp will be carried over. The 1.5-litre Dragon series petrol could also be on offer, exclusively for the automatic version. The Aspire locks horns against the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Volkswagen Ameo, Honda Amaze and the likes in the segment.
