Ford Figo Automatic Teased; Launch Date Confirmed

- The Ford Figo Automatic will go on sale on July 22, 2021
- The Figo AT is expected to come with a 6-speed torque converter
- The Figo AT will take on the Maruti Suzuki Swift & Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
Ford India has teased the new automatic transmission variant of the Figo hatchback ahead of its launch confirmed on July 22, 2021. The updated version of the car is expected to get a torque converter paired with the 1.2-litre petrol engine. The segment already has a host of automatic hatchbacks to choose from and the Figo finally joins this bandwagon.

There won't be any other major changes to the hatchback
The Ford Figo manual is currently priced from Rs. 5.82 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards, and expect the automatic transmission to be available on the mid and top variants. Prices will for the automatic version will command a premium of Rs. 50,000-60,000 over the manual. In comparison, the segment offers the Maruti Suzuki Swift AMT priced from Rs. 6.86 lakh, while the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios AMT is priced at Rs. 6.62 lakh. There's also the closely matched Volkswagen Polo AT that's priced from Rs. 8.51 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
