Ford Endeavour Base Variant Discontinued, Now Available In Only 3 Trims

- The Titanium 4x2 AT variant of the Endeavour has been discontinued
- Now it only comes in 3 variants - Titanium+ 4X2, Titanium+ 4X4, Sport 4X4
- The Endeavour is now priced between Rs. 33.80 lakh and Rs. 36.25 lakh
Ford India has recently discontinued the entry-lever Titanium 4x2 AT variant of the Endeavour. The base variant of the popular full-size SUV was priced in India around Rs. 30 lakh, and with the trim no longer being on offer, prices for the 2021 Ford Endeavour now starts at Rs. 33.80 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi). Going forward, the SUV will be offered in only three variants - Titanium+ 4X2 AT, Titanium+ 4X4 AT, and Sport 4X4 AT. The former two variants are priced at Rs. 35.60 lakh and Rs. 36.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
We did reach out to Ford India to find out the reason for discontinuing the Titanium 4x2 AT variant, to which the company's official spokesperson responded saying, "The Endeavour will now be available in 3 trims, all providing excellent value to our consumers. Aligned to customer interest and preference, these changes ensure that we produce a lot more of what customer wants and value."

The Titanium 4x2 AT variant was almost Rs. 4 lakh cheaper than the Titanium+ variant
Now, while the entry-level Titanium 4x2 AT trims was almost Rs. 4 lakh cheaper than the Titanium+ variant, it did miss out on certain features that one might want at this price point. That includes a panoramic sunroof, 8-way electrically adjustable seat for the front passenger, one-touch up / down power windows, and ambient lighting. In fact, the SUV also did not offer certain safety features like - Ford auto park assist, driver knee airbag, front parking sensors and electronic IRVM.

All Ford Endeavour variants come with a 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard
Mechanically, everything remains unchanged. All three variants are powered by the same 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine that is tuned to churn out 168 bhp and develop 420 Nm peak torque and is mated to Ford's 10-speed torque converter automatic transmission, about which we have told you extensively in our review.
