Japanese luxury carmaker, Lexus, has announced launching its certification programme for pre-owned vehicles in India. The carmaker says that with the 'Lexus Certifies Programme' both owners and used car buyers will be able to get better value on a pre-owned Lexus. Under this programme, the company will offer a comprehensive 203-point inspection and Lexus certification for the pre-owned Lexus cars. As part of this value programme, Lexus India will also offer some segment-first after-sales benefits, which include a comprehensive warranty of up to 24 months or 30,000 km and up to 3 complimentary services.
Lexus claims that each car placed under the certification programme will be certified only after due diligence of documentation, quality level and service history. And the comprehensive 203-point inspection covers all key parameters.
Lexus India entered the used car business in June 2021 with the launch of the 'Lexus Pre-Owned' - a platform where customers can trade in and upgrade their Lexus cars.
Commenting on this occasion, Naveen Soni, President of Lexus India said, "Lexus cars are renowned for their luxury and reliability the world over. With the Lexus Certified Programme, we are introducing an added level of assurance for our guests in India. The certification program provides a warranty of up to 24 months with due diligence on quality, documentation and service. Our focus of creating an overall amazing ownership experience has been our key focus since we began our journey in India".
