Mick Schumacher Thinks His F1 Debut Has Been Average

- Schumacher has called his first season in F1 average
- He hasnt been fully satisfied with his first season
- Critics have been impressed by the young German
Ferrari Driver Academy graduate and the reigning F2 world champion Mick Schumacher has given a candid assessment of his first season in Formula 1 where he has debuted with the Haas F1 team which is at the back of the field.
The son of the legendary Michael Schumacher has said that his first season in F1 has so far only been "average" even though he is in the slowest car on the grid. Despite his harsh assessment, the German has handily defeated his teammate Nikita Mazepin whose father is also sponsoring the team.
"I think it was average. I'm not completely satisfied with how the first half has gone, but that's also just part of the rookie year. My goal of course is to always do my best, but I still have work to do," Mick Schumacher said in an interview for Bild.

Recently he drove his father's Jordon 191 which was his first F1 car
In the last race in Hungary, Schumacher showed his wheel-to-wheel racing skills where he thwarted Max Verstappen in the Red Bull for the longest time hindering his progress. He even raced with Lewis Hamilton.
"That was very instructive. It was very good for us to be in that duel, to feel what it is like to be in the middle of a fight like that and to defend your position," he added.
The young Schumacher will be seen even in the documentary on his father which will debut on Netflix in September. Mick Schumacher was alongside his father when Michael Schumacher had a horrific skiing accident which has left the legendary 7-time world champion in a vegetative state. He has been undergoing rehabilitation since the accident after being in a coma for over a year and has never been seen publicly ever since.
