In the announcement both the companies said that the tool would accelerate the ongoing research and development support that the Hyundai Mobis Technical Centre is assisting its original equipment manufacturer with in autonomous driving. Moreover, Tata Elxsi is contributing with its expertise in digital technologies which includes artificial intelligence, extended reality and gaming which all are essential to develop the tool.

In the first phase of the launch Mahindra will be rolling out this service in six cities which are Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi. In the second phase, Mahindra will expand this lease service to 19 more cities across India. The UV maker will also offer a wide portfolio of vehicles on this platform in the second phase. Other than the KUV1OONXT and XUV5OO, three more models which are TUV3OO, Scorpio and the recently launched Marazzo will be leased out through this platform. The vehicles can be taken on lease for a maximum period of up to 5 years depending on the model and city.

Like the pre-facelift models, most of the visual traits are identical, like the new hexagonal black grille with chrome surrounds, and a set of new sweptback headlamps with black highlights and integrated turn signal lights. The front bumper is also brand new and now features a revised airdam with sharp muscular lines and LED daytime running lights as well. Both the cars also get new larger 14-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels as well.

A little over a year since its launch, the Tata Tigor subcompact sedan has received a mild refresh for the domestic market. The Tata Tigor facelift is priced from Rs. 5.20 lakh for the base petrol, going up to Rs. 7.38 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi) for the range-topping diesel, and comes with a host of cosmetic and feature upgrades over the current model. Tata Motors has sold 123,577 units of vehicles globally in September 2018 witnessing a growth of 6 per cent. The sales numbers include Tata Motors passenger vehicles, Tata Motors commercial vehicles and Jaguar Land Rover. Global wholesale at Tata Motors passenger vehicle division were down by 4 per cent at 71,559 units while the commercial vehicle division sales grew by 25 per cent selling 52,018 units. Sales of Jaguar Land Rover in the same month stood at 52,987 units which include 4853 units of Cherry Jaguar Land Rover (CJLR), JLR's China joint venture. Precisely, 18,876 units of Jaguar were sold and Land Rover sales stood at 34,111 units.

The first 50,000 customers will also avail the special introductory prices for the new car, after which the automaker will increase the prices on their new hatchback. Considering the interest in the car and the fact that Hyundai will make about 10,000 units a month, the new Santro will most likely also have a decent waiting period, especially since this will be the hottest new car this festive season.
