The car was first launched in 2008, and we have already seen three generations of the car in India. The Dzire is equally popular in the used car market as well and you will find thousands of listings online. Depending on the model year and the condition of the car, you can find one for anywhere between Rs. 1.5 lakh and Rs. 8.5 lakh. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire us fun-to-drive and is one of the most frugal petrol cars in its segment.
Pros:
- The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is one of the most frugal petrol cars in its segment. The newer model offers fuel efficiency of up to 24.1 kmpl, and the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder K-Series petrol engine is also quite fun-to-drive, belting out 89 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. Even the older petrol model offered a decent 82 bhp.
- Maruti also used to offer a diesel version of the car, equipped with the tried and tested 1.3-litre motor. It was one of the nicer engines in the segment, and you will find one in the used car market.
- The newer, third-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire also gets a tonne of features like - projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED taillights, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors. The AMT version additionally also offers an ESC with Hill Hold Assist.
While the Dzire always came with a spacious cabin, the interior layout of the older Dzire looked quite dated.
Cons:
- Most of the features we mentioned above were introduced with the third-gen model, which is fairly new and thus you are likely to find lesser options in the used car market. The older-gen model came with pretty basic features.
