Renault Kwid Superhero Edition Launch Date Revealed

- Renault Kwid was launched in India in 2015
- The car could get superhero themed design elements
- There will be no mechanical changes in the Kwid
The Kwid has been Renault's best-selling model and ever since its launch in 2015, the company has kept the interest going in the car by launching special edition models of the Kwid such as the Kwid Climber, Kwid second anniversary edition, Kwid Live For More Edition and so on. And now, Renault is all set to launch the Kwid Superhero Edition on 5 February, 2018. The company in fact, tweeted that it will be launching a 'Captain America' and an 'Iron Man' themed Kwid on the said date. Renault had also launched a 'Hulk' themed Kwid in Brazil last year.

The image that was tweeted by Renault India clearly shows a couple of Kwids in silhouettes with the backdrop of two of Marvel's most famous characters, which are Captain America and Iron Man. So you could expect the Kwid Superhero edition to be decked out with decals and design elements from Marvel's universe. Apart from the two superheroes already mentioned, the Kwid Superhero edition could also get multiple variants based on other superheroes based on Marvel's Cinematic Universe.

The Kwid has been a hit for the French carmaker and thanks to the constant updates; Renault has been able to keep the customers' interest in the Kwid alive. There will be no changes to the current engines which are the 0.8-litre 3-cylinder unit that makes 53 bhp and 72 Nm and the 1.0-litre motor which makes 67 bhp and 91 Nm. The Kwid gets a 5-speed manual transmission along with an AMT as well. The prices of the Kwid Superhero edition could be at a slight premium over the prices of the current models.
