The Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles (SMEV) has released the September sales number for electric two-wheelers in India, which stood at 2544 units.

Tata Motors sold 2,02,873 units in the second quarter of FY2021 which is a decline of 16 per cent.

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was first launched in 2016 and in just 4.5 years Maruti Suzuki has sold over 5.5 lakh units.

Suzuki Motorcycle India registered a growth of 2.86 per cent in domestic sales, but exports declined by 37 per cent in September this year. The company's total sales were down by 2.71 per cent as compared to the same period last year.

In August 2020, Mahindra had sold 24,458 units and at 43,386 units, it has recorded a good month-on-month (MoM) growth of 77.38 per cent.

Hero MotoCorp sold a total of 715,718 units in September 2020, which are the highest monthly sales for the company so far in 2020, registering growth of 16.9 per cent over the sales of September 2019.

Skoda Auto India retailed 1,328 cars in September 2020, witnessing a growth of 7 per cent over last year, while month-on-month growth stood at 28 per cent. The company delivered about 300 Karoq SUVs last month.

Royal Enfield despatched 60,041 motorcycles in September 2020, compared to 59,500 motorcycles in September 2019.
