Tesla Could Introduce A Steer By Wire System In 2021 Model S

- The yoke steering could be tuned using steering by wire tech
- It could also allow for custom tuning the turning radius
- For the Model S, Tesla is hosting a delivery event
Tesla is on the cusp of delivering the new Model S with it hosting a delivery event later in the day. The 2021 Model S represents a massive update to the platform in a decade. Alongside it, Tesla will also launch the Plaid model which will be its top tier model. One of the more interesting aspects of this new Tesla Model S is its "yoke" steering wheel. The butterfly steering wheel has had many people question its effectiveness as Tesla has also removed the stalks from the steering wheel. Tesla even has plans to use AutoPilot to engage the right driving mode - drive, reverse, neutral or park. Electrek postulates, Tesla could introduce a cutting edge steering by wire system which could offset the turning radius issues of the "yoke" steering. It could be tuned to perfection if it had steering by wire system.

Tesla has modernised the Model S with a new motor, new interiors and better range
Tesla has been working on steering by wire system, though it so far hasn't said that the new Model S has it. However, it could shed light on this new detail later today at its delivery event. By tuning the steering using the steering by wire system, Tesla could provide the perfect feel for its shape and even could have the potential to offer a variety of feels - basically allow the user to customise the turning radius of the car.
Alongside this, Tesla will likely show off the new UI for its infotainment system as these new 2021 models come with a new horizontal screen. This new UI will likely make its way to all Tesla cars, including the Model 3 and Model Y and will not stay restricted to the Model S and Model X. Tesla has also added a powerful AMD GPU and APU for computing capability that rivals the PlayStation 5 allowing the car to run triple-A games.
