Background of the Weirdest Garages

Umihotaru, the Floating Car Park:
This is a parking garage that is built on an artificial island. Besides being a parking garage, it is also a famous tourist destination. You can catch amazing views of Tokyo from here. Umihotaru is located on the iconic aqua-line, a very long underwater tunnel.
1111 Lincoln Road:
This is a mesmerizing sculptural parking garage in Miami. Famous architect-duo, architects Herzog & de Meuron, made this garage into a reality.
Car Silos at the Autostadt:
Volkswagen's Autostadt- This is basically an amusement park that has unique parking facilities. These parking facilities represent 20-story car silos. The theme of this amusement park is automobiles. As such, you can find here factory tours, driving courses, and museums, all related to cars.
Eureka Car Park:
Axel Peemoeller, the world-famous graphic designer, is the brains behind this innovative project. He made it into a reality with the unorthodox 3D chalk-drawing technique. This way, he was able to build a parking facility on Eureka Tower. You can find it in the city of Melbourne.
The KRE House:
This facility is like a home for displaying parking cars. It hosts a 9-car garage located on an area of 2k square-foot. This facility gives an impression of a living room car display.
Unique Features of These Garages

Umihotaru, the Floating Car Park:
The cruiseliner shape of this facility is unprecedented and unique. It also has several other facilities like public art, cafes, and shops.
1111 Lincoln Road:
It is a 300-car garage that is constructed in an imagination-defying concrete-and-glass design. You can also find a beautiful rooftop restaurant here that provides a stunning sea view. Moreover, there are retail shops at 1111 Lincoln Road.
Car Silos at the Autostadt:
This facility is robotic in nature. The state-of-the-art automation of this parking garage completely removes the need for any dealership. Owners can easily pick up their cars without any hassle from Car Silos. A sophisticated central robotic arm selects the relevant vehicle to bring it to the owner.
Eureka Car Park:
This facility has directional markers into which a driver goes straight in. However, on a closer view, one would notice distortion in the markers. This is the amazing thing about this facility.
The KRE House:
This is an entirely mechanical parking garage where owners can switch cars. Here, switching is possible only for similarly valued cars. So, for example, a Porsche can be switched for an equally expensive Lamborghini model.
