Visually, the 2020 Audi RS7 Sportback has seen massive improvements over its predecessor. The design language is sharper carrying over the distinctive coupe roofline on the model. The new RS7 is priced at 1.4 crore rupees. It is the car to spend these big bucks on - if you don't simply want a souped-up sedan like the S6 or even E 63 AMG, nor want an out and out sports car like the Porsche Cayman. The new face is bold and striking.

From the characteristic nose with its distinctive LED headlights, the shape of the Porsche 911 Turbo flows into a distinctive, muscular appearance similar to that of the 911 Turbo S. The exterior design of the new 911 Turbo follows the tradition of these powerful, rear-engined sports cars from Stuttgart, with its broad shoulders giving further emphasis to the increased driving performance. Inside, it gets the Porsche Advanced Cockpit and Direct Touch Control interfaces.

The car performs every bit like the AMG it is too, complete with the growl that the engines from Affalterbach are known for. So, if I wasn't getting enough attention with the colour, I was certainly roaring about to get enough heads turning too! The G Wagon's commanding ride height and hallmark tough suspension are also very evident. Is it a practical car? No! It isn't even for every rich person's driveway! But if you do have the green in your wallet, then go for the green in your garage too!

The prices for the BMW X4 start at ₹ 60.60 lakh and go up to ₹ 65.90 lakh for the big 3.0-litre straight six diesel variant. For people who are looking to buy a mid-size SUV and if the X3 doesn't appeal to them, then the BMW X4 definitely will. As far as driving pleasure is concerned, there are BMW SUVs which are more engaging, but the X4 with its coupe-like design and raw presence is good enough to seal the deal.

It is very forgiving and isn't hard to drive, meaning anyone can drive it hard, and more easily than a car like the SLS. The GT was born for the track and all its performance attributes instantly come racing to the fore, especially when you have it in sport mode on a fast track. The steering is also extremely precise, though I would have liked it stay a touch stiffer. But this car instantly comes across as a very well-engineered machine.

The Urus sets a whole new benchmark at the luxury, sports end of the market. The great part is that for the few who can afford to buy one of these - it can be the daily driver, and the weekend hoot - something on Porsche offered in the true sense so far.  And while the upcoming Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga needn't worry, the Porsche, BMW-M, Mercedes-AMG and Alfa Romeo SUVs should.

The 7-inch touchscreen is standard, and comes with Porsche Communication Management. Apple CarPlay is part of standard equipment while it's optional in other markets. Android Auto doesn't have an existence in the 718 yet. It has been launched at ₹ 85.53 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. Is it a practical car for Indian roads - assuming you have that kind of cash? The answer is no - but it is certainly more so now over the car it's replacing, and dare I say even more so than its legendary brother 911.

On the whole though, the Audi RS e-tron GT is a very satisfying car to drive. It is comfortable even in its sportiest drive mode, it is luxurious, and will not tire you out in any way. It also has a drive range that can go as high as 480 kms, though my European counterparts tell me 380 kms is comfortably achieved. It takes anywhere from 9 hours to 22 minutes for an 80 per cent charge depending on the type of charger being used. It is now available in India starting at ₹ 2.05 crore.

The Aston Martin DBX is an SUV that really walks the walk and talks the talk! The DBX has the fire power and the looks to make it a well rounded SUV. Granted it comes to India as a CBU and that's why the price of the car sky rockets and takes it closer to some of the supercars in the country. What the DBX required are some more features to go with the opulent interiors that it already has and it would have a strong footing for sure.

Porsche always impresses us with its interior, and the case is the same here with plush interiors, intuitive displays, and plastics making it worth the cost. Compared to its aggressive siblings, this younger apprentice is worth the buy. Although the car can be upgraded with user preferences and may end up a bit more than its base cost, this vehicle can be defined as a true electric sports car, and possibly the best EV on sale in the Indian market!
