Honda Jet Completes its First Flight

Honda has been at the forefront of growth in India of late; they have brought in so many products that has only left its Indian audience asking for more. Long story short, one can say that Honda has reached a new high, not only in India but in other markets too. So what's next, we ask? Honda says aerospace.
The first production Honda Jet successfully completed its first flight recently. The aircraft took off from the Piedmont Triad International Airport on Friday and climbed to 15,500 feet and reached speeds of up to 340 knots, or in lay man's terms 643Km/h.
Though the plane isn't certified, Honda is already building several of them to ensure they are ready for immediate delivery as soon as the Federal Aviation Administration signs off on all the paperwork.
During the test, the flight crew checked out the plane's avionics, handling characteristics and speed brake among other things.
The Honda Jet is supposed to be the fastest, highest-flying, quietest and most fuel-efficient jet in its class. It has two GE Honda HF120 turbofans that help the Jet to reach its top speed of 420 knots or 777Km/h. It can soar to a maximum altitude of 43,000 feet, travel upto 1180 nautical miles or 2183Kms on a single fill, and can seat 5 passengers.
Well that's all for now, but we'll be sure to keep you posted with updates.
