Pros Cons of Royal Enfield Himalayan

Pros

  • Versatile budget ADV motorcycle
  • Good Ride quality
  • Hardy motorcycle

Cons

  • Engine lacks power for seasoned riders
  • Could have been lighter
  • Brakes could have been better

Verdict

The Royal Enfield Himalayan definitely is a good bike, and the more time you spend time with it, the more you begin appreciating it. Sure, it has its weaknesses, and more power, less weight, better brakes et al, would have worked wonders to make it even better. But eventually, what matters is that it's a simple motorcycle that will charm you with its simplicity, whether you're the city commuter, relaxed highway cruiser, or trudging along broken trails.

Pros Cons Benelli Leoncino

Pros

  • Good fit and finish
  • Decent performance
  • Cool, retro design

Cons

  • Expensive purchase
  • After-sales could be a problem
  • Stiff suspension

Verdict

The Benelli Leoncino is the scrambler-styled neo-retro model from Benelli, and has no direct rival in the market. The Leoncino uses the same engine as the TRK 502. It pumps out 47 bhp and 46 Nm and offers a more affordable option to the likes of the Ducati Scrambler. In India though, models like the Royal Enfield 650 Twins and the KTM 390 Duke could rival it in the Indian market, in terms of performance and specifications, and at a substantially less price.
