Pros Cons of Mahindra XUV500

Pros

  • Looks better than before. Facelift ups the premium quotient
  • Seats are well bolstered
  • More power available on the diesel

Cons

  • There's a hint of body roll
  • Low on power at lower rpms
  • Understeers when you take a corner

Verdict

Mahindra is offering some new colours on the XUV500 - Crimson Red and Mystic copper, both of which we did not get to see; but the Crimson Red looked promising on the presentation board. Mahindra will hope the refresh brings its customer base back into M&M showrooms and more importantly, back to driving the once popular XUV500.

Pros Cons of Hyundai Elite i20

Pros

  • Sporty looks and sleek appearance
  • Comes with a plethora of engine and gearbox options
  • The i20 also comes with the N Line Variant which looks even sportier

Cons

  • The i20 is low on ground clearance
  • The NLine variant could have done with a bit more power
  • You will be crammed for space at the rear

Verdict

The Hyundai Elite i20 is a family dependable premium hatchback. It is absolutely reliable and comfortable. With all the features it has to offer, it sets itself apart in that department, and that turbo engine makes it a pocket rocket for sure. It ticks all the right boxes in the ride and handling department, but is that enough to stay ahead in that segment? We think, it's enough to call it the new benchmark!
