Highlights

Hyundai has released the first official images with the 2016 Tucson which will make its public debut at the Geneva Motorshow. The crossover adopts many styling cues from its bigger brother Santa Fe and looks more refined than its predecessor.

The Tucson gets a more sculpted body, chrome hexagonal front grille and sleek head lamps and daytime running lights. The cabin now looks more premium thanks to upscale soft touch materials and a large touchscreen display. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is packed with buttons on both sides and comes with a chrome trim also noticeable on the door handles.

When it comes to engines, there is the 2.0-litre diesel and a 1.6-litre petrol and both will be tuned for performance and mileage. As far as safety and assistance systems are concerned, the all-new Hyundai Tucson comes with Smart Parking Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist System, Rear Traffic Cross Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Speed Limit Information Function and Active Bonnet System which will automatically raise the hood to cushion the impact shock in case of a frontal collision.

There's no doubt that the Tucson looks a million bucks and we wait for Hyundai to announce its global strategy for this car.
