The 2022 Audi A8 L facelift luxury sedan will be launched in India on July 12. The A8 L is the flagship sedan from the Ingolstadt-based carmaker, and as the L in the name suggests, it is the long-wheelbase version of the car. Audi India teased the car in April 2022, and a month later in May, the company began accepting pre-bookings for the A8 L for a token amount of Rs. 10 lakh. The updated 2022 model made its global debut only in February 2022, and the fact that the car is coming to India so soon is certainly noteworthy.

Under the hood, the 2022 Audi A8 facelift will get a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 coupled to a 48V mild-hybrid system, developing 340 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with a Quattro all-wheel-drive system as standard. There could also be a 4.0-litre TFSI version on offer, that develops 460 bhp and 660 Nm of torque. One highlight of the V8 is the cylinder on-demand system (COD), which temporarily deactivates four cylinders for better fuel efficiency.
