The 2022 Audi A8 L gets plenty of upgrades including the wider, chrome-induced single-frame grille. The side intakes are more upright while the digital Matrix LED headlamps have been redesigned. The rear sports wide chrome clasps with new OLED taillights that get a customisable signature option. The profile remains unchanged barring the new alloy wheels. Inside, Audi has made the A8 L even more luxurious with 18 pneumatic cushions, electrically adjustable comfort headrests, and an optional continuous centre console.
The feature list remains extensive on the 2022 Audi A8 L, which includes four-zone climate control, fold-out tables, two 10-inch infotainment screens and a head-up display as an option. The safety package is equally comprehensive with about 40 driver assistance systems `including the Audi pre-sense basic and Audi pre-sense front safety systems that bring features such as night vision assistant, surround-view cameras, intersection assist, cross-traffic assist, side assist, and exit warning. There's also the 360-degree safety system with side crash enhancement in combination with the active suspension.

The Audi A8 L facelift will get a price hike and there is a possibility of a more powerful engine option too
Power comes from the 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine coupled with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The motor belts out 340 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Power is sent to all four wheels via the Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The A8 L is quick for its size with 0-100 kmph coming up in 5.6 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 209 kmph. Audi could introduce a more powerful 4.0-litre turbocharged TFSI engine on the facelift with 460 bhp and 660 Nm of peak torque. The latter also comes with Cylinder on-demand (COD), which will temporarily deactivate the four cylinders for better fuel efficiency at low speeds. The new A8 L will take on the new-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series, and the likes in the segment.
